We’ll be sending you additional information soon where you can specify a roommate if you sign up for this trip with someone. We’ll also be having online happy hour meet and greets before the trip so we can get to know each other and Julie can help guide you to a wonderful roomie match.
Yes! You’ll be able to specify your specific dietary needs after signing up for the trip so Julie can make sure you’ll have delicious options throughout the tour.
No problem! Julie will help you with her recommended trip interruption insurance through her preferred provider so you can get a refund should something happen that impedes your trip. Morocco in fall is lovely with weather ranging from the 70's to the 80's. Each of our stays has a pool and a spa to enjoy! It does get cool at night, particularly in the Agafay desert and High Atlas Mountains so be sure to pack layers. No special gear is needed.
That's an overwhelming yes! One of the most welcoming and cosmopolitan countries in the world, the progressive and open minded muslim country of Morocco has welcomed tourists for hundreds and hundreds of years. It's long been a favorite destination for European vacation homes and locals open their arms to tourism. Additionally, for the entire tour you'll l be accompanied by Julie & her tour co-leader Siham, our private driver, and bilingual local guides.
While some Moroccan women choose to "cover" with a head scarf you are not at all required to do so at any point during our trip. We do advise not to wear extremely revealing clothing while walking in the more traditional Fes medina to show respect to the locals, but feel free to wear your usual summer styles in cosmopolitan Casablanca, modern Marrakech and by all your hotel pools.
No matter what you wear - comfortable walking shoes are a MUST. Older medinas are filled with cobblestone alleys, mopeds, & donkey pulled carts - much of our city & countryside touring will be on foot so comfort is key.
